Ris Low's appearance on a radio programme and the story that she received a warning letter for being late on her first day at work has turned out to be an April Fool's joke. The truth was revealed during the Shan and Ross Show on 978.7FM, Lianhe Wanbao reported.

The deejays also said the joke was done in collaboration with the promotion of a burger-chain's new product.

Low, however, did not post any message on her blog in relation to the joke. She said in an interview that it was supposed to be fun but the ex-beauty queen definitely did not expect that the prank had earned her more "enemies".

It was reported last week that the dethroned Miss Singapore World was offered a deejay job at 98.7FM and she was two hours late on her first day at work.

For this, Low reportedly said she had been issued a warning letter by the radio station.

Since then, a Facebook group "to remove Ris Low from 98.7FM" had been established and hits have reached nearly 10,000. Low's Facebook account had also been suspended following a spam complaint against her.
